Your data, your choice

Privacy notice

This notice explains what Closing Threads stores, what goes to service providers, and how to control assessment-content retention.

Private mode is the default. Closing Threads does not store submitted communication or results after processing in Private mode. The inference provider still receives content to produce a result.

Information we handle

Choose how content is handled

Private: Closing Threads does not retain submitted communication or result content after processing. We keep the account, assessment-definition, usage, and payment information needed to provide the service.

Standard: If you explicitly consent, Closing Threads stores submitted communication and results encrypted for up to 30 days to support service research. The content is then deleted automatically. You can withdraw consent by switching to Private mode.

Assessment definitions are saved separately so you can reuse them. Don’t include sensitive personal information in a definition.

Inference provider

Closing Threads sends the communication and assessment needed for each request to its configured inference provider. The provider processes that content under its own terms and privacy practices. Your Private setting controls Closing Threads storage; it does not prevent the provider from receiving the request. Review the provider privacy information linked in the app before submitting sensitive content. We do not claim that the provider has zero retention unless its terms establish that.

Payment provider

If you buy credits, Stripe handles checkout and may collect billing details needed to process payment, issue receipts, and calculate applicable taxes. Closing Threads receives payment status and related records, not your full card number.

Security, retention, and requests

We use access controls and encryption for information that we retain. Account, usage, payment, and security records may be kept as needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can revoke API keys and passkeys from your account. Contact support through the Closing Threads website to ask about account-data requests or deletion.

Children and changes

The service is intended for business and adult use. We do not knowingly design it for children. We may update this notice as the service changes and will publish the current version here.
