Using the service
Terms of service
These terms explain how to use Closing Threads Cloud, how prepaid credits work, and what to expect from assessment results.
The service
Closing Threads lets you define assessments, submit communication for analysis, and receive structured results. The service may use third-party inference providers to process requests. Results can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing them and deciding what to do.
Your account
Sign in with passkeys or recovery codes. Keep passkeys, recovery codes, and API keys secure. You are responsible for activity through your account and keys. Revoke a key if it may have been exposed.
Prepaid credits and taxes
When purchases are available, credit packs are charged in US dollars. A payment provider may collect billing details and calculate applicable taxes at checkout. Tax is charged separately and does not become account credit. Credit is applied after the payment is confirmed.
Prepaid credits are non-refundable except where required by law or to correct a payment or service error. Credits cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash, or used after an account is suspended for abuse or a payment dispute, subject to applicable law. We may adjust account credit to reconcile refunds, disputes, duplicated payments, or service errors.
Usage and limits
Usage is subject to the balance, monthly limits, and request limits shown in your account. We may pause new requests when a limit is reached, a payment is disputed, or a provider is unavailable. We don’t promise uninterrupted availability or a specific result or response time.
Acceptable use
Use the service only with content you have the right to submit. Don’t use results as the sole basis for decisions that could significantly affect someone’s legal rights, health, safety, employment, housing, credit, or access to essential services. Don’t attempt to bypass limits, interfere with the service, or use it unlawfully.
Privacy
Your privacy choice controls whether Closing Threads retains submitted communication and results. In Private mode, Closing Threads does not store those contents after processing. The inference provider still receives submitted content to process your request and may have separate data practices. Read the Privacy notice and the provider’s terms before submitting sensitive content.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. We’ll post the updated terms here. If a change materially affects your use, we’ll provide notice through the service where practical. For questions, email colin@nixc.us. Include your request ID for usage questions; never send API keys or recovery codes.
